Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball Hall of Fame

HOF class of 2012

Bryce Nimmo -

Bryce played Post 6 Baseball from 2001 - 2004. He holds many of the programs career marks. He is the programs leader in pitching wins with 48, 7 in the post season (also a career leader), and complete games with 27. Bryce is second in the program with 331 strike outs. Offensivly he leads with 525 hits, 120 doubles, 334 RBI, 484 runs scored, and 188 stolen bases. Bryce went on to play at the University of Nebraska, including a College World Series appearance.

Brandon Nimmo -

Brandon played for Post 6 from 2008 - 2011. He is the programs career leader in average at .486, 40 home runs, 45 tiples and 236 walks. Brandon was drafted in 2011 by the New York Mets in the first round, 13th overall and is currently in the Mets organization.

Robert 'Yogi' Allen -

Yogi was a Laramie County Judge from 1977-2005 appointed by Ed Herschler. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1968 and served in Vietnam 1968-1970 as a 2nd Lieutenant, receiveing the Bronze Star. He then attended and graduated law school from the University of Wyoming 1971-1974. Yogi was part of Cheyenne's first Little League champs, the 1955 Yankees. He was bat boy for Post 6 Legion Baseball in the 50's and played Post 6 Baseball from 1963-1964. Yogi was part the Cheyenne Post 6 team that won Legion state title in 1963. He has been involved with the American Legion since 1980, is a lifetime member and has been the current Post 6 Baseball Liaison since 1999.

Robert "Bob" Nab (Sept 29,1926 - Aug 12,2002) -

Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 - 1946. He worked in the US Postal System from 1949 - 1980 retiring as the Wyoming District Manager. He played from the Albin Legion team in 1943, then the Yoder town team 1946 - 1947 and Torrington 1948 - 1949. He was heavily involved in the American Legion and American Legion Baseball since 1946. Bob was a past American Legion Post 6 Commander and past State Baseball Legion Commissioner for Wyoming. He was a past Post 6 Liaison to Baseball for 17 years and helped run numerous state and regional tournaments. The Cheyenne Post 6 Bob Nab Memorial Tournament is played each summer in Bob's Memory. Bob was heavily involved in other youth activities sponsored by the Legion including Boys State, high school rodeo and the Legion oratorical contest.

Ron Trowbridge -

Ron began his Cheyenne baseball as a Little League Brave coached by John Monjares. He played Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball 1973-1975 with a State Title in 1974 as a pitcher and first baseman. In 1974 he pitched 93 innings, 150 strikeouts, 1.89 ERA, and was State tourney MVP. He pitched the regional opener against Alaska; a one-hit shutout with 18 strikeouts. He played at Wyoming 1976-1979; recruited as a pitcher, he was 5-5 pitching as a freshman; and was named the team pitching MVP. Ron threw a 4-hitter as a sophomore at Wyoming, beating 5th-ranked San Diego State. As a Junior and Senior at Wyoming he played 1B and DH, hitting .400 his junior season and had a career .351 batting average. He is now an auditor for the State of Wyoming.
